We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Head of Textile and Garments (Senior Vice President), Corporate Banking, Wholesale Banking.

In this role, you will:

Formulate and implement aggressive business plans, direct team resources to achieve the targets and identifying potential business opportunities for portfolio expansion

Ensure implementation of effective customers contact strategy following a need-based segmentation to enlarge share of customer's wallet

Use of personal network to acquire new business

Provide one-stop financial services, maximising service efficiency, and providing customised services on standardized products

Drive the team to maximise HSBC Bangladesh’s wallet share of the business in order to maximise the economic profit through quality lending and aggressive sales of commercial financial services and cross-sell of other products to a portfolio of core customer relationships that belong to the International segments

Manage and coach staff and ensure a high level of service and professionalism is displayed by a well developed and motivated team of relationship managers

Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring

Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.

Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor degree preferably from a public/ private/ foreign university

Comprehensive knowledge of corporate credit is essential through exposure in a corporate lending environment

High degree of business development and managerial skills are acquired through natural personable traits, excellent teamwork and communication skills

Clear ability to delicately handle and resolve inter/intra departmental issues relating to WSB, developed on the job and through attendance on appropriate training programs/attachments
